Cutting and creasing is achieved by a set of heads mounted on the machine on a single or dual axis.

SimulSet™

Single Axis

Each head uses Panotec SimulSet™ technology to independently position. SimulSet™ enables the FlexMode to setup to each box specification faster than any on-demand box-maker on the market. Head positioning is accurate to 1mm with typical setup times averaging 2 seconds.

single-axis

SimulSet™ Heads may be fitted with crush, serrated, razor, or perforated cutting tools. Any creasing profile maybe added to the machine to allow better roll-over or friction lock box flaps.

Panotec has developed a robust crush cutting method that minimizes tooling and anvil wear costs.

With crush cutting, knives last ten times longer than conventional serrated or razor knives, and there is no need to replace expensive anvil coatings or rolls.

One Pass Design

The SimulSet™ Dual Axis is a very powerful head configuration. With a dual axis there are no limitations on score to score distances. 5mm score to score distances are easily achievable without resetting heads or redirecting board travel.

dual axis

A Dual Axis also allows for a large number of scores to be processed in one pass maximizing productivity.
